Creativity.. Finally

Journal Entry: Thu Apr 17, 2008, 7:58 PM
So if anyone's been remotely interested in the work I've been putting out they can see that I've been pretty steady for the past month on my work. Instead of taking a year off because I lost all creativity in my soul and then come back in random spurts for a few days. But I think I've finally done it! I can work in a constant rate now, woo

But that's finally because I've had an overflow of creativity. And I've been wanting to learn so much more about Photoshop. So I guess as long as I'm eager to keep learning about Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, and all the other programs, I'm good? Hopefully

I've also narrowed down the professional field I want to go into. Either working with digital layouts of pieces or else image manipulation. Either way I'd like to go straight into the digital field. Starting a magazine wouldn't be too bad either :]

Stay tuned for more!

in advertisement as a graphic designer, you work on the advertisement at hand, pitch the idea, lay out the graphics and all of that work. Mostly with ads you'll be doing manipulations.

I like them both socially and as a medium.
What do people do in advertisement?
~sohxc:iconsohxc: Apr 12, 2008, 1:58:13 PM
Tech classes would deff work. When you say you want to work with people do you mean socially you would enjoy being around people or do you want to work with them as a medium? Because if you want advertisement would be a great field to go into. You seem social enough and all. Taking technical courses will help because you want as many classes that focus on your skill as you can get.

I'm thinking people. Possibly commercial?
I'm going to be taking photography courses, writing courses, and a few more art courses in my Sophomore-Senior year as well as other misc. classes just for a well rounded medium.
I like to take photos and people interest me incredibly.

I don't know many of the fields or what classes to take to go for graphics. Do you think taking Tech. classes would work?

I would say that if you love doing graphics work, then you can make a career out of it.

The only warning is that make sure it's not a hobby that you just like a lot. And the field is VERY competitive, so keep learning and working as much as you can and you'll be fine.

What are do you want to expertise in?

Thank you for the compliment :D
made me feel good.

As a question:
Should I pursue graphic design as a career choice? I'm thinking about it, but want to know if it's hard, ect...

thanks!

meh, it all depends on preference. you can get amazing renders from both. more people use maya then max for modeling, but i think max's interface is alot more user friendly. so yea, it's all about preference

and i thought i was fatty 2? hahaha
